What people ask us
Is this a book of predictions?
No, and we hold to that. Centastra prints dates and seasons: the real passages of the planets over the points of the birth sky. What those seasons mean is for life to decide. No prediction of events, never a "fateful" date.
What is needed to create the book?
A date, a time and a place of birth. The time is essential: it gives the Ascendant and the houses, and therefore a complete book. It appears on the birth certificate. Without it, we prefer not to create an incomplete book.
How is it made?
Calculated with our Swiss ephemerides, composed for an exact century, then printed and bound to order, on your continent. A few days of printing, a tracked shipment.
What if the person already knows astrology?
That is where they will be most surprised: the Vedic seasons (dashas) and the nakshatras appear in no other personalised printed work.
Where does the method come from?
The calculations follow the Tropical-Vedic approach developed by the practitioner Elvira, on Arcanastra. The book is an editorial object; for a living reading, there are the sessions.
How long does the book take to arrive?
Allow a few days of printing, then a local tracked delivery: about 6 to 9 business days in Europe, a little more depending on the region. The book is printed on your continent, with no customs. The exact time shows for your country when you create the book.
It's a gift: how does that work?
You enter the person's birth and add a dedication, printed on the first page. The book ships straight to their address, tracked. The digital version is on us right away, to keep or to show on the day.
What if the book arrives after the occasion?
The digital version is included and available within the minute: you already have something to give on the day, while the book is travelling.
How many pages, what format?
Its length depends on the information available and the astrological elements that can be calculated for the birth: the book usually runs about 80 to 140 personalised pages, in premium colour, hardcover with a square spine, 6 by 9 inches (about 15 by 23 cm). With the birth time it most often exceeds 120 pages; without it, this edition is about 80 to 90. A real library book, not a booklet.
Can it be returned?
Each book is calculated and printed for one person only: it cannot be returned. That said, any printing defect is reprinted and reshipped free of charge.
What is a Saturn return?
It is the moment when the planet Saturn returns to the place it held at birth, roughly every 29 years: around 29, then around 58, and sometimes 87. It is linked to the great thresholds of maturity. The book dates it to its true dates, across a whole life.
What is a dasha?
A dasha is a great life period in Vedic astrology, ruled by a planet, that can colour several years or decades. The book lays out their full fresco: no one else prints it in a personalised work.
What is Tropical-Vedic astrology?
It is Elvira's approach: the precision of the tropical calendar (the signs, the seasons) crossed with the depth of the Vedic tradition (dashas, nakshatras, Rahu-Ketu axis). The calculations run through the Swiss Ephemeris, never through an AI.
Can it be given to someone who knows nothing about it?
Yes. It is first of all a beautiful object, written plainly: each page explains itself. You need no knowledge of astrology to be moved by holding a hundred years of your sky in your hands.
Can I add a dedication?
Yes, free of charge. During personalisation you write a short message (up to 200 characters), printed on its own page at the front of the book. A preview shows the exact result before payment.
Can I fix a mistake after ordering?
Yes, for 2 hours after your order (24 hours if you don't know your birth time yet, so you have time to find and add it). A link in your confirmation email lets you correct the first name, date, time, birthplace and dedication. After that, printing begins.
Can I cancel or return the book?
As the book is personalised and printed on demand, the order is final: it cannot be cancelled or returned, except for a manufacturing defect, which we replace. You have 2 hours to correct the content.
How long until I receive the book?
Allow two to three weeks depending on the destination, printing and tracked shipping included. Each copy is printed on demand from the person's birth details alone: there is no stock, your book is made for them, in full colour and hardcover. That care is what takes a few days of production, before tracked delivery. For a dated gift, plan for this lead time: the workshop warns you if the chosen date is too close.
